Really well located and clean, comfortable room + spacious bathroom with everything you need to feel at home and relax. The hotel bar downstairs is roomy, interesting and cozy, with good small bites to accompany your drinks, so we didn't have to go far, and we has a great time together. Parking in is right next to the hotel, which make life much easier when travelling with multiple cases. Front desk people are friendly and helpful. Will stay there again.
Excellent location for a central stay. Standard room was spacious and bed was comfortable. Bathroom was big and included a bathtub. Room was well cleaned and my stay was quiet. The desk is also big enough to complete any work on a business trip. Decor was indeed outdated, however it had a charm to it and did not look bad Reminded me of 90s hotels. Staff was friendly and check-in was quick, even though there were quite a lot of tourists that day. Breakfast was very reasonable. Bus stop is very close and shopping centre as well. Car parking was expensive, however this was expected for the location. Worth a stay.
I've stayed twice recently, and both times in an exec double double. Spacious room, great beds, the bathrooms are dated, but it's nice to have a bath as well as shower. The room safe made me chuckle as it's attached to a movable wooden table and not the wall! Breakfast is the best I've had in a UK hotel post pandemic, where others have cut back their service. The location is great for the city centre, the NCP next to the hotel is safe and secure, with a discount from the hotel. Rooms: The rooms are dated. However, the executive room was refurbished and clean, and the beds were comfortable. Coffee machine and good selection of coffee and tea. The air conditioning unit is attached to the outer wall under the window. It worked fine but not quietly.
Excellent location despite the constant sirens, however the rooms are old fashioned even the upgraded ones - deluxe rooms. The service was excellent and staff were very friendly. There was no swimming pool falsely advertised on the site due to it being under construction. The terrace is nothing like in the photograph also due to construction. Very expensive menu for food/drinks, also rooms are expensive.
Great hotel a brief 10-15 min walk from Temple Meads. Huge rooms, bright and airy with large flat screen TV & decent sized bathrooms. Lovely bar and dining facilities with an amazing buffet. The staff are all courteous and nice and I need to highlight the lovely breakfast staff. Great job and a lovely hotel to stay for visiting Bristol.
Possibly the best breakfast spread I have seen at a hotel in a very long time. Super quiet hotel. Very classy. Beds are super comfy. Facilities are of a good quality and plentiful. Would definitely stay here again. Noteworthy details: Parking right next door to hotel. Tickets can be validated for a super discount on overnight parking.
Rooms are old and dated, I booked for 3 nights was not that cheep, no Gym no pool and not even bottles of water in the room, seams a lot of hotels still using Covid as a excuse to change premium prices and give nothing in return. I also was asked to pay a £50 pound a day security fee I still have not received it back. Parking is £17 a day next door so a very expensive experience. Rooms: Old and poking bathroom. Noteworthy details: Avoid much better around.
Stayed here over the May Bank Holiday, to say I was underwhelmed is being generous. There's alot of bad points about this hotel and not many good ones but I'll start with the good points. Location is perfect, you're right next door to what seems to be the main shopping district and we'll within walking distance to most of Bristol, the train station is a 10 min walk away. That's the end of the good points now onto the bad The beds are awful, you may as well be sleeping on the floor they're so hard, put that with pillows that want to be hard and soft at the same time but not comfy. The air con in the room never got the room below 22 degrees even though it was set to 15,when entering the room it was at 28! We instantly tried opening the windows to find they don't open at all meaning there was absolutly no fresh air whatsoever. The bathroom had a few problems with it, the shower head leaked absolutly everywhere from the connector, there was a massive black divot out of the bath tub. The extractor fans didn't work meaning the ceiling paint had clearly had mold that has been cleaned off but leaving the paint either faded or chipping away. The whole room in general needed updating as it looks like it's back from the 90s. No complimentary water in the hotel room, something that's more or less basic in every hotel I've ever stayed in including awful easy hotels. Overall I wouldn't recommend this hotel and I'm shocked Marriott would out their names to this place. If you want a good night's sleep look elsewhere.
Perfect location for the city central but also right next to the park gym facilities and I would say it has a conference centre too so good for that. The bar was well stocked having a good selection of drinks. This is really nice placeRooms: 4/5
Well, this hotel seen better days. The good news is that the service is great, rooms are big and breakfast is very nice. At first sight the visual seams nice, a bit old-fashioned but nice. When you look on detailes you can see it is in urgent need for renovations. Not very bad, but nothing you would like to see in an hotel. You can see in the pictures... Oh, they do have a funny umbrella renting machine The price was ok 130 pounds
