We were visiting Foxton Beach for the fair and decided to grab some food from Delish instead of paying fair prices for a cup of hot chips.nWe didn't have any regrets.nThere was a bit of a wait but that was understandable as I believe they were busier than usual, but the family pack we received was great, especially the fish! Cooked perfectly!
Very friendly and cheery. We came for gluten free after reading such great reviews. Good GF options. Separate fryer in a back room. It was a quiet lunch time, but it took 40+ minutes for ours to be prepared, even as many other regular orders came and went. We weren’t given any indication that there would be such a long wait. The potato fritters and scallops were very yum. The chips, however, were soggy and stuck together in a pile and were DRIPPING with oil. We couldn’t eat them all. Even our teenage boys limited their intake.
Good, basic, old fashioned fish and chips. Consistently good. Battered Gurnard is a must try. Very friendly staff even though they're terrifically busy. Apparently the only fish and chip shop for miles, that do gluten free battered fish. You can even take your own fish in and they'll batter and cook it for you for only 80 cents a piece nKeep up the good work Delish takeaways
Must say I am very particular about what I like and don't for that matter for my fish n chips. Straight up I'm fussy nThese are one example of the best fish, hot dog on a stick and chips I've ever had.nI like their hotdogs so much that when I go there approx 30 mins from Palmy I get extras precooked, these can be heated 8 mins in the air fryer and eaten over the next few days
Fantastic!! This place also caters to GF. It's rare to find quality for a great price. Delicious and filling. A popular place so, expect delays when you order. Recommend phone orders!
