Stumbled upon this place while staying a few nights in Auckland. Great coffee, great food, great service. My 6 year old said they were the best pancakes he had ever eaten. Would highly recommend.Food: 5/5
Great cafe for breakfast or brunch. Make good coffee and delicious food. We had deconstructed breakfast burrito and eggs Benedict with mushrooms on potato rosti. Delicious and fresh... Amazing customer service and the staff were super friendly.
Recommend the Eggs Benedict! Classic dish completed perfectly with the Hollandaise sauce being perfect, served with sour dough and a rosti. The service was great and we came exactly at opening time and there were plenty of seats. Atmosphere was great with little touches of decorations throughout the place. I can see why it is such a popular spot IN Herne Bay! Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options were available. I had the mushroom and Rosti stack, which was delicious. Kid-friendliness: There were kids there loving the cabinet food and smoothies. Parking: Parking appeared to be free on weekends. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair friendly access.
Way overpriced. $27 creamy mushrooms +$4 poached egg. Mushrooms tasted like it was made with Maggi packet sauce, or those creamy pasta Alfredo dry mixes. Bread was so stale. Definitely at least a day old, hard to cut and eat. I wonder if it has switched hands because food quality has declined tremendously since we last came. Many other cafes in this price range with better quality food. Don’t recommend this to anyone.
They were short on staffs so I couldn’t get breakfast but NZ is suffering from a labour shortage so I don’t blame them. They were still very kind and gave good service. Coffee and and the cardamom pastry was pretty good! They got outdoor seating at the front so you can park our dog outside:
The food is great here! Very popular spot but if you time it right there's always a seat. Would highly recommend.
Had a decently portioned salmon poke bowl on the weekend. Lots of delicious treats on the menu, I’ll be back to check out more. A little expensive with this poke bowl topping out at $27 and many other menu items starting around mid $20’s and extras can easily push breakfast over $30 for food alone per person. Yikes.
Very popular cafe in herne bay - they now have pet-friendly deck area around the back which is a plus - Amazingly presented food and they are very yom! Very good coffee too
drinks: spirulina smoothie was nice but had too much apple juice for my taste the macchiato was very good with a strong taste of coffee. food: the kimchi fried rice was very nice with a great amount kimchi sauce in the rice which was a perfect amount. the egg was a great addition of flavour with its yolk. the chicken was nice but was precooked which made it taste like it was frozen.if you know what i mean the scrambled eggs was kind of average. their “cruesli” was actually very flavourful with a very powerful coconut flavour, though there was a lot of crunch to it which some people may not like but i did. service: because it was a busy sunday morning, i understand the waiting time. the staff were very nice and were helpful. smoothie:7/10 macchiato:8/10 fried rice:9/10 eggs:6/10 “cruesli”:8/10 service:7.5/10 overall: 8/10
Friendly staff specially Thomas he's super friendly and professional, coffee and the food were super and fast delivered! I'll be back for sure!!Food: 5/5
