About

de Vere School of Dance is a new dance school in Albany, on Auckland's North Shore, offering ISTD ballet classes and open jazz classes to children ages 5-8 years.

Story

de Vere School of Dance is owned and operated by Charlotte de Vere and Emily de Vere, sisters who live and breathe dancing, and can't imagine a life without it.

Charlotte was born with a passion for teaching, and has taken ballet classes since the age of 3, going on to assistant teach and eventually become a qualified ISTD ballet teacher. She also owns Pizazzle, a costume company that designs and creates costumes for competitive dancers, and taught swimming for 9 years at a local swim school. Charlotte also has a Bachelor of Education in Primary teaching, and her Associate Diploma for ISTD Imperial Classical Ballet.

Emily has also been dancing since the age of 3, and her passion lies in modern jazz dance and lyrical, in which she has taken classes herself for many years, sitting her advanced levels in AJDA jazz. Emily currently holds a Bachelor of Dance, a 3 year dance degree which she enjoyed immensely. Emily is currently in London, but will be adding jazz and lyrical classes to the dVSD timetable upon her return to New Zealand in 2017, which she is very excited about.
