Been around for a long time and never let me down. Try their crumbed chicken roll! A must for those of us who at times enjoy a little meat to eat. Great vegetarian options also. Rating? As the late Tina Turner once said "Simply the best!" Coffee 11/10.Food: 5/5
Wow what a winner. Pies should be exactly this way, good bottom bread dough, extra REAL meat not pie filling, and a crispy pastry on top. You guys are now in the top 3 pies of my life. Well worth the trip to get another one before heading home. It saddens me to say Australian pies have dropped in standards these days. Congratulations to NZ.
Spend time here every now and then. I am disabled and use a walking stick or a walker. The staff are helpful and friendly and busy. They carry my coffee and cake plates to my table. I love the beautiful lemon cake with nice coffee. Very nice country atmosphere. As to be expected, there are queues depending on the time of day but that says to how popular they are and how outstanding the food is. I'm happy to wait for my lemon cake and coffee at busy times. Very clean tables and cutlery. Disabled toilet is always clean which is nice as at some places the floor is often dirty and neglected but not here!
$23 for 2 chicken wraps . Pretty bland and for $11.50 each I don’t expect to be eating the outside lettuce leaves.Food: 2/5

Fairly busy when we arrived but was able to choose what we wanted and staff were kind and helpful.So many options to choose from. The beef, jalapeno and cheese pie was delicious. 9.5/10. Coffee 10/10. Sweets were yummy as. Was recommended this place by family. Definitely come by here again Kid-friendliness: Love the kids corner with the baby gate. Could do with some baby toys for the younger ones.

Ridiculously amazing pies at a great price. Highly recommend the smokey beef, jalapeño and cheese. Service is second to none, I really appreciate that the staff know how to count change correctly when I pay in cash Atmosphere is perfect, not too loud, great lighting, plenty of seating, and the place is clean from top to bottom inside and out.
Don't be put off by the unassuming frontage, this is a place of great eating! I have a bit of a sweet tooth and love fresh cream so I was in luck! I had the NZ classic Cinnamon Oyster apparently invented by a Dunedin cook in the 1950s. It was lovely and spongey, the right amount of cinnamon, a light spread of jam that didn't overpower and lashings of fresh and delicious cream. Thank you for bringing this sweet joy to my day - brings back happy childhood memories Was a nice seating area, great acoustics, for a big place we could easily hear one another sometimes big places = heaps of noise I'm taking off one star for the coffee, it was ok but we got the large cup and should've asked for an extra shot, the blend was a bit too weak with two shots. But the free little toffee sweet biscuit on the side was yummy!
