Nice layout of restaurant with gorgeous art decor. Friendly welcome. Good service. Affordable meals that were tasty. Food was served hot with plentiful meat portions in the curries. Nice presentation of naan in baskets.
My partner and I came in for dinner and the hostess appeared more interested in her phone than greeting us, we were told to sit anywhere we liked so we sat ourselves at a table for 4. The waiter seemed uninterested in taking our orders when he finally came to us. Before the food arrived we got given a warm plate each, but they didn't bother to clear the other half of the table and the extra plates and glasses ended up stacked on top of the menus on one side of the table as seen in the photo. The meal itself was alright, not as good as it used to be a few years ago when i last ate here. I will add that when we arrived we were the only customers in the place, during our meal there was only 3 other tables that had customers, so it wasn't like they were busy.
I ordered through deliver easy, trying this place out. Got it fast which was great, driver was lovely. Disappointed with my butter chicken though. It was very much like eating a sweet tomato soup and I was craving the usual taste of butter chicken from other places in Pukekohe/Tuakau. It's my favourite dish usually. Naan was yummy. Hoping that maybe it was just an odd batch with this taste.
This was the worst service that we have encountered from a delivery takeouts. we ordered our delivery at 6:11pm on Mother’s Day with an estimated delivery time of 6:45pm we had to ring several times after that to ask were our delivery was to be told coming soon the order arrived at 8pm family was hungry and this order was worth $160.00 more than what most people in the restaurant are paying for thanks for ruining 2 mothers who wanted a night off cooking and a relaxing Mother’s Day meal.
Do not eat here if you have allergies. We were clear when we ordered and they still served us a dish that caused us all vomiting and diarrhoea. When contacted, they said they were too busy to care. Wasn't even offered a refund. Edit: My review is for Curry Leaf, Pukekohe. Despite their denials, a complaint was logged with MPI as there was dairy in the meal and they refused to replace too busy or refund. Use caution if dining here.
Very good restaurant. Quite possibly the best Onion Bhaji I've ever eaten. Crisp, almost no oil.Food: 5/5

We ate at the Curry Leaf last night and were really really impressed with the quality of the food. It hardly took any time for the food to arrive. It was well presented and completely delicious. We both had chicken curry ordered to Madras hot and it was perfect. The naan bread was so light and buttery. Fantastic thank you.
Nicest Indian I've had for a long time. The Balti chicken was superb, naan light and fluffy, service great, reasonable prices. Thank you for a beautiful meal Curry Leaf.
