We dine at Curry Heaven normally once a month. The service is always very good and the curry is the best in the Hutt. They do the best heat in the Hutt as well. Prices are very good, BYO and never need to book. ** 2 Nov 2013 - Now under new management and the meal was superb. I would rate even better and service excellent. Try it, we were very impressed.
Over-priced for what it is ... 3 bits of diced chicken in what tasted like Watties sauce with a slab of congealed rice that had spent way too long in the microwave, and the "onion bhaji" was just bits of deep fried chopped onion. Not good, not good at all.
Me and my daughter had a lovely meal, very reasonable priced. Recommend this to any one who enjoys a lovely curry with good flavours.
We traveled across NZ Islands in November 2011. As being big fans of the Indian cuisine and staying at Lower Hutts Top10, we stopped at the curry heaven to have dinner. We had the chicken tikka masala and the chicken tariwala. Very good. Also nice: the naan basket.
Wide variety of dishes. I had Lamb Malabari. The lunch portion for $11 was enormous! I took half of it away for later. Clean surroundings and polite staff.
Went there a few weeks ago, with two mates. Really good curry. Maybe the best in town. It also stayed in my stomach well. Lolz.
Love their Malai Kofta and breads. Good quantities too. Thanks to Curry Pot, I don't miss restaurants in India anymore.
Easily my favorite curry in Petone, consistent and able to reliably produce requested spice level every time!
This is got to be the worse place to get a curry from the sauce was watered dwn so much that it separated from the sause leaving a pool of water on the plate when was bought to the mangers attention she laughed and said that's how it spose to be when she realised I knew that's not how it spose to be she got mad and ask what is she spose to do about it an offered a discount instead of replacement
Beautiful food and quick service. Some good vegan options and great value wines & beers too. Excellent value. Would recommend
