We went to invercargill last week. And tried this little shop. At first we were little unsure cos shop looks a bit old and little run down. But Food was so good. Fast service. We really enjoy our food. They packed the take away box very well. No leaked.nnMaxwell was so friendly and very cheerful. He shown us around while we were waiting for our takeaway. He also told us they also have shop in Dunedin. which I went before and so yummy too.nnIf we go to invercargill again. We will definitely visit this shop again.
We did a takeaway and ordered 2 authentic Kerala dishes - fish pollichathu & nadan beef fry ! Both was so yummy and really tasty! It was really authentic
I have eaten here twice during my short stay in Invercargill and intend to have one more meal before I leave. I can recommend the chicken jalfrezi and chicken afghan which I had with naan bread. The portions are very generous and some people would be happy with just the curry, which comes with rice included. The cost was $24 for my first meal with a plain naanand $25 for the second with a garlic naan. The menu is very extensive and numerous side dishes and vegetarian options are available. I was served by Maxwel who is a very friendly and efficient waiter. The curries here reminded me of the home cooked food I have had in India and are a world apart from the usual fare we receive in England.
The garlic nan is our most favorite dish along with the butter chicken.nMaxwell, who takes our order is very friendly, and the service was quick.nWe'll be the regular customer for sure.
We recently had the amazing team at Malabar cater our wedding. The professionalism displayed on our big day was astounding, last minute requirements for extra table cloths, done! a beautifully designed table setup that matched our wedding theme, done! And of course the best Indian cuisine you can find. Jiji and Jibin were friendly, well prepared, punctual, and adaptable through the planning and execution of a 100~ guest wedding.
