One of My Favorite Fish & Chips Spots!nnEvery time I visit New Zealand from my home in Jakarta, Indonesia, my family, who live in Reefton, picks me up from Christchurch Airport. Without fail, we make a stop here for lunch, and it’s become a special part of our routine.nnThe place has a calm, relaxed atmosphere, yet it’s always bustling with customers, which is a good sign. The service is consistently excellent! warm, welcoming, and impressively quick.nnAs for the food, their fish and chips are simply the best I’ve had! Crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked every time. It’s comfort food at its finest, and it always hits the spot.nnHighly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area, it’s a must-visit in my book!nnOh and also a very beautiful backyard view!
We love the fish and kumara chips from Culverden Takeaways. Flavour is fabulous. Great choices of fish and other options. While we've never had an issue with the fish and chips, we were disappointed on our last visit by the battered mussels. They were tiny. We complained at the time when we opened up our parcel to eat, but offered no compensation an extra couple of mussels would have sufficed. It is natural for mussel sizes to vary a lot, but other places we go to automatically give extra mussels when they are under sized.nnMy advice - ask the size of the mussels before buying them from here.nnStill 100% recommend the F&C.
Simple fish and chips shop. Little bit more pricey then I’d like but food was pretty good.nnBurger had a decent enough pattie, with quite good buns. Chips were well cooked and salted.nnPhone ordered was ready on arrival but it did seem like other people were left waiting.
Wow!! What incredible burgers and great value for money! I have never had a Hawaiian burger with a ham steak rather than a meat pattie!! Just devine and my Partner throughly enjoyed his massive burger too
I stopped in here on my way back to Christchurch a couple of days ago I got myself a half scoop of chips, best chips I've had in years. Can definitely recommend them.
