"Crushes is a concept store. We bring you a curation of New Zealand made and vintage clothing and homeware side by side to promote conscious consumerism and ethical fashion! We want to crush the mentality that secondhand goods aren't a good option, as well as that New Zealand made is too expensive. We love to gather, chat, and be intentional with one another and our spaces. We do this by hosting workshops as well as making time for old fashioned chit chat."

Incredible customer service. Lola is simply the best
I’m a massive fan of this store. So many amazing little treats. I'm pretty sure that for the last few years I've bought all of my presents to anyone from here. Highly recommend
Before this I absolutely 100% loved crushes, but after todays experience I'm a bit unsure... I was pretty stoked to hear that they started stocking some vintage plus size clothing. So I went in and found some jeans that I absolutely loved which is a bloody rare thing for me. It was 40" and listed at $30, I know this because that's literally the reason I first picked it up. When I went to the till it was priced at $45 without really looking at it. Somehow the tag got lost, I was carrying it around the store so it could've been anywhere might've been upstairs where we didn't look. I really wanted the pants but to hike it up $15 just by taking one look at it? Kinda weird to evaluate it at one price, put it out on the floor and then when someone's about to buy it, hike up the price. Maybe a system should be more in place to prevent it although I do understand that it is a vintage store with one off pieces. I was just excited to find something plus size thrifted, at a great price to then just be disappointed like that. If I could've gotten the pants at the price the tag said I'd be happy and would have no beef with Crushes but again, I was pretty guttered. Other than this, Crushes was my go to store to get gifts. If you want to support local this is a great way to do it and see some cool things. It's just this experience that left me with a bad taste in my mouth.
Always a lovely store to browse through. A small selection of individually selected second hand clothes and some great sustainable products and brands.
This is such a lovely little shop. Great for gift shopping, especially for people who don't live in NZ. They have a great selection, and the staff are very friendly.
Something for everyone, amazing ideas for gifts or if you just want to treat yourself. Friendly staff and delightful owners who staunchly support conscientious shopping. A++
