Lovely huge port that the ship can dock straight to, eleviating the need for tenders ashore.nThe surrounding scenery is breathtaking with Mount Maunganui and the Pilot Bay Marina right at your door step.nIf you don’t have any shore excursions planned, I recommend disembarking and going for a wander yourself. You won’t be disappointed.nPort staff are very friendly and our disembarkation was a simple process as was getting back on board
Like my post! The Cruise Ship Dock of the Port of Tauranga, New Zealand is a great place to greet passengers as they enter in and out getting to their cruise ships. Moreover, it's a great place to watch ships docking and undocking while waving them goodbye. The staff were very friendly and there were so much sights to see. Highly recommended if you are nearby!
Everything within walking distance, if u love vintage classic cars n amazing food. Ths is definitely the place
Well organized, cruise guest were welcomed, lots to do in walking distance
The volunteer guides are amazing. Ask for their help and take one of their free maps. Go to the other side of the island, 10 minute walk. BEAUTIFUL beaches that you can't see from the port!nWeather/storms come and go quick, 3 storms throughout the day.
