The volunteer guides are amazing. Ask for their help and take one of their free maps. Go to the other side of the island, 10 minute walk. BEAUTIFUL beaches that you can't see from the port!nWeather/storms come and go quick, 3 storms throughout the day.
This is a nice Cruise Ship Dock. A pleasant walk to the shops of a hike around the hill. It was windy the day we arrived, but the staff and facilities were helpful and things flowed smoothly. Spotted a bar called Sailor Galley and Run Bar, but their logo is navigationally incorrect, we didn't go there
Looks like my pic. A lovely place to stay and enjoy the atmosphere and experience in what's offered. Do your due diligence and research what's going on. They have a awesome surf beach.
Short walk to mountain where one may take a two mile walk around it taking in beautiful scenery. Made our day!
Not a passenger terminal as such. More a general cargo wharf that passenger ships can access. It is a short stroll to Mt Maunganui and like everywhere in New Zealand it is beautiful
