Wanaka is known as an adventurer’s playground and subsequently a destination mecca for thousands of Kiwi’s and International visitors each year. Likewise it is for many seeking the opportunity to explore the magnificent countryside and combine a mini break / holiday.
Cross Tri Wanaka takes place during the warmer summer months on Sunday 6th January 2019 - prefect for swimming, mountain biking and trail running around one of regions hot spots! The lake temperature is inviting, the mountain biking and running trails are out of this world and the scenery is amongst some of the best in the country...
This is an open event for all to enjoy however we are super excited to incorporate within the event the *National Cross Tri Championships. The Championships event will be the *long course event on the day and will also play host to one of Triathlon New Zealand's Selection Events for the World Cross Triathlon Championships taking place in Pontevedra, Spain between April 27th to May 4th 2019.
