Beautiful gardens, excellent Cafe and Garden Nursery centre. Helpful and knowledgeable staff and Garden tour transport available for those unable to walk very far. Well worth the visit.
On a garden group tour. Everyone loved this garden and rated it highly.Well signed, plants labeled, nursery and shop also cafe.
Acclaimed gardens, comparable to the best from around the world. Famous for rhododendrons but so much more on show. Well labeled specimens amongst an arboretum of mature trees. Thank you to the family and staff who gift us the pleasure of visiting.
What fantastic day out strolling through the magnificent garden, getting lost in the maze and to finish off with possibly the most tasty food at their cafe. Highly recommend a visit
My impression was 4 October was a bit too early date for a visit, and a few weeks later would be the best time for most colorful surrounding. The garden is well worth visiting for a two-three hour slow walk among that beauty! Drove further to Mangaweka after that, and that was another bonus!
Absolutely beautiful place for a walk, even in autumn! They had a small dog who followed us around and he was a great little tour guide! Definitely coming back.
Great selection of plants and very reasonably priced. Information from staff is excellent and they are really helpful. If you want a good strong, healthy specimen, this is the place to go.

Nice gardens. Will probably return when all plants in bloom.
Lovely stalls but a rip off having to pay $20 each just to get in!!
