Worst library in New Zealand, there's not wifi, not toilets, and they charge you for computer use. I had never to pay for a computer in some other library except Queenstown, but it's Queenstown and all others library where i have been, they always have free wifi and of course toilets!!!! Very disappointed.
Peace and quite place with strong Wifi. simply perfect. I was scared of past reviews, but that were just past ones :
Perfect, generally quiet & relaxed. Good wifi & computers usually available, they have extra chrome books if needed. Helpful friendly staff
There is no wifi but might be you can use Cromwell free wifi from library.nNice warm and nice place for read books
Has a lovely vibe when it’s quiet. There’s a reading section in the back and chairs in between the shelves for more private reading if u want. I agree with a previous reviewer that sound easily reverberates through the library though - there was a lady reading a story out loud to a child at one corner and her voice carried all the way to the back. On top of the staff talking, it wasn’t the conventional quiet I expected from a typical library. The library with its rustic design could improve on its partitioning of spaces with sound insulation perhaps.nIt’s relatively smaller so the book selection is more limited, but I’m sure u can find some gems there. I didn’t stay because of the noise level, although there was a gentleman reading at the back who seemed unperturbed.
