Located exactly halfway between Kumara and Hokitika on the West Coast Wilderness Cycleway, this is the only genuine accommodation available in the Upper Arahura Valley.

Great place to swim .. be careful with sand fly. Make sure you apply good repellent before going there

Wow...absolutely stunning spot. Well worth the drive inland from Hokitika.
It was great fun, lost my hat tho. If found please return. My hat is bright pink and has little sparkly kit kat on the top, its a bucket hat. But do not use a a bucket as it may be stolen by a seagull and the seagull might drop it in the lake and it might sink - just saying.
Crystal clear and clean water
Very picaresque lake surrounded by west coast bush. Some great picnic areas. To really appriciate you need a boat. Easy strolls along parts of banks. Like anywhere on coast pick your day when not too wet!
Just Stunning, well worth a special trip, but take the bug spray if there after dark.
