I reckon this establishment is a great little kiwi gem. Unpretentious with a nice atmosphere, the coffee was good and the ginger crunch and toasted date cinnamon scone were delicious! The cafe is perfectly situated looking onto and across the harbour. There are plenty of seating options, both inside and outside, and the service was excellent.
The salmon on potato rosti with salad was excellent and generous. I felt the interior could be made cosier with some more decorations, colour, art, plants etc.
Enjoyed a delicious lunch at this very friendly, warm cafe. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming and the staff were very accommodating. The food and coffee were delicious. Highly recommend. Kia ora !
Great little cafe at Portobello. Outdoor and and table seating, cabinet and menu items available to suit various dietary requirements. Perfect spot to visit when at Portobello.
I have wanted to try this cafe since it reopened and I was not disappointed. The food was fresh and cooked to order. Whilst the menu is small it offers a decent variety of options. I had the Rosti and the potatoes were seasoned perfectly and it was not dripping with grease like other places.nnThe staff are lovely and you can’t beat the view on a good day. I will definitely be returning next time I’m in Dunedin.
