I never have a problem with Countdown . Staff always helpful and obliging . And of course gold card discounts on Tuesdays.
One of the best places for your shopping in Invercargill. The best thing is that it is open till midnight. A well arranged place, with great customer service, a great car park and a wide range of products. Veggies are comparatively fresh from other places. Frozen foods are also good when compared to others. All in all Countdown is awesome. I have bought one blender from there, and after 3 months it stopped working. I got to them and without any issues they gave the full refund that I paid for the product. Really good customer service :
Feels a bit more chaotic than the usual Countdown, maybe because it seems they've just reorganized and everyone is still milling around trying to find stuff. Some things understandably out of stock due to supply chain issues. Four stars regardless because it's a Countdown and you can get your groceries, so it serves its purpose despite the minor chaos.
Cooking 12 chicken wings and have poured about 250 mills of liquid off them was originally about 1kg of chicken bought 3 packs only used 1 and a half so far small roasting dish, so 250 mills equal 250grams is it countdown or the supplier pumping 25 percent more water into the chicken to add weight
Used to shop here regularly, for around 10 years. Multiple times a week. Up until a nasty checkout operator shouted rudely at me for being 'too close' to another customer. I was over 2 metres away from them. Have never been back since. So many paranoid sheep in this town its crazy. Theres also one very overweight girl on checkout who likes to comment on everything you buy as she scans it. I suggest going to the plaza, better atmosphere, better produce and friendlier staff.
Great service and a big supermarket conveniently located next to a park to relax in. Cafe onsite serving all the usual coffees and teas.
I was mostly happy with the selection on shelves. Peaches where hard and no juice inside. Apart from that, I was happy.
Some staff need to learn to listen to the customer and not be in a world of there own as one girl in the checkout was doing.
Two time now I have ordered cherry tomatoes from here, both times they have come mouldy. It's disgusting. Do better Countdown.
Loved this place. Well stocked shelves and keen prices.
