Super clean spacious store. Good selection of foodstuffs unavailable in some of the other stores. Some basics such as rolled oats, bread and fruit ect are overpriced. Still a great store and a necessity for competing with the established NZ food retailer.
As we all know, Countdown is the most expensive of the supermarkets. And, as it is Australian owned, the profit goes offshore. So, I use Countdown for its convenience of hours, and for specials. The store is well presented, the staff are friendly and helpful. And, in particular, the young people are accommodating and engaging.
What a dreadful company to deal with if there is a problem. They promise the earth, then agree to supply it, when asked when will it arrive, the answer seems to be "Manjana" we all know Manjana never comes. Luckily New world is just around the corner so I will avoid Count Down Supermarkets like the plaque.

Just briefly popped in tonight to grab a few treat's for Dad for Father's day tomorrow. Thanks Riley for being happy, helpful and packing the treats with a great positive attitude.
