As at 29.12.22, i rate this store a very good 4 out of 5 - Due to the great customer service initiated by the Manager, running this Countdown. Service; Great service, I asked for help and the woman who served me said the policy in the store is if the customer asks they will certainly help me to pack my items. Contrasted with Waiata Shores Countdown in Takanini who have a very rude checkout operator by the name of ' Logan', he chose to drink Red Bull, zero customer service and was condescending as heck! Friendliness; most of the staff were friendly although when I asked an Indian staff member where the eggs were he chose to not look up at me , look at his phone and said Isle 7. When I said I'm sorry what did you say that is when he looked up at me and said Isle 7. Cleanliness; This store provides wipes and hand sanitiser. Store us clean and in good order. Equity; good amount of cultural representation. There is a variety of men and women and most are from different backgrounds and cultures in the store. Great store compared to others. I have just got home from Countdown Bayfair. There was 1 checkout operator on and 5 trolleys ahead of me and more behind. I was told there was 1 person on a break that would be back soon and a lot off sick also that Monday is usually a quiet day. I NEVER BLAME THE STAFF but surely that is not good for your Company. The people ahead of me said to say they were all annoyed as well. I shop there 3-4 times a week and feel you should know how we feel. BUT NEVER BLAME THE STAFF THEY ARE WONDERFUL.
Those ladies look so unhappy. Not friendly, no smiles no effort to help u. I dont even ask for help or anything anymore cause if u do they will try to make u feel dumb about it.

Great store, well laid out, plenty of availability, shelves were well stocked with plenty of variety, staff are very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Service given with a smile.
Easy to find what I wanted, good selection, quick checkout
It's a pleasure to shop in a supermarket in the BOP that looks & feels well laid out, well stocked and where the trolleys look & are clean and well maintained. Would shop here regularly if it was closer to my home. I will be back.Very pleased they had eggs available today - although extremely expensive - I guess they thought price gouging because of lack of supply is an acceptable business practice. - timecwill tell. Feb 2023: Very disappointed with the fruit - brought a bag of oranges paid extremely generously $9.00. Got home to Papamoa East and one of them was bruised & going mouldy and the rest have gone off today. It's to far to return them. - Will avoid produce from this Countdown from now on.
I do like the lay out of the store. Everything is so well arranged & easy to follow.
Got most of the items I wanted. The countdown is located on the ground floor. It was challenging to first find where it is. I used the self check out counter and in no time I was out.
Lots of self checkouts. Bit of a hike to covered carparks if it is raining, but you can walk through the mall. I'm not sure if you can take trolleys that far, though.
