We used the Cougar Line return option with bag transfers for our 4 day walk on the Queen Charlotte track and I could not recommend them more! From departure to pick up 4 days later the service was seamless. The staff double checked our dates and accommodation before we left. Our bags were at our room door when we arrived 17 km later and every lodge after that just as promised. The drivers were friendly and the boats comfortable and clean. 5 stars and more!
We did the Cruise to Motuara Island as we only wanted to commit to a half day. The weather was not great on our arrival and the friendly help desk gave us a couple of options instead of our booked cruise, at no extra charge. Because of our time constraints we stuck with the booked tour. On the way out the weather was still questionable and boat captain remained flexible. Ultimately we were dropped at the island. I probably hadn't done my research, because 90 minutes was too much time to do the walk to the top of the island and back to the wharf, and that is all you can do on the island. Hardly the fault of Cougar Line, but consider it consumer information. All in all a great day with high quality vessels and friendly staff.
What a great service. Lovely helpful staff. The trip out to ships Cove was great and we even slowed down to see some dolphins. Bags have been ready and waiting at each of our lodges. Highly recommend.
Caught the boat out to Furneaux Lodge, a beautiful setting overlooking Endeavour Inlet for the lunch option. Glorious day. We were able to take out the kayaks out and saw stingrays. Meal was execllent with excellent service. Katy at reception was particularly friendly and helpful in getting our kayaks out, providing us with towels so we were able to shower afterwards. Then had a super lunch followed by a walk to NZ oldest tree, 1000 years +. Our journey home was on the faster boat where the friendly crew spotted some dolphins and we were able to watch them surround the boat and take some pictures. Highly recommend, thanks for a fab day.
Super friendly and helpful. We arrived and the check in was fast and efficient. We got dropped off at Ship Cove after an hour tour through the beautiful sounds. Our bags were waiting in our room at Ferneau Lodge could not have been easier and so hassle free. Thank you.
