TOTAL RIP OFF ,GREEN WASTE 1 TRAILER LOAD $106.20nnSo TCDC are setting the rates but Coromandel living trust are running the dump under Waste Management Ltd.nnThis means the badly trained staff are blaming TCDC for the prices ,the dump is a public service payed mostly by ratepayers.nnTalking to lots of people in Town about the dump they have had the same experience ,I will asking them to do more reviews here and I will doing some thing in the town Chronicle
Excellent service. Staff really helpful. I’ve used both the tip and recycling centre. Apart from selling recyclable materials the recycling centre offers the use of power tools and a small workshop. We used materials from the dump, some driftwood, and their workshop to make a driftwood Christmas tree.
The council need to make dumping cheaper if they want the Coromandel area to be clean of rubbish on the side of the road and on properties. It's very expensive to dump things there. $150 for a trailer with high sides! Come on! Unrealistic amount to be honest. The staff are very helpful but their hands are tied...even they know it's a rip off.nSuch a shame because they could make money off some of the things needed to be dumped. A price review is needed.
Walked to dump to recycle some batteries with my kids got told off shouted at for having my kids with me that were under my supervision!!! Kids were 15 and 12 ,less than 1 meter away from me and well behaved .nSo TCDC and Smart don’t complain when trucks go up in smoke because batteries are put in general rubbish !!!
Almost always a fabulous place to find what you're looking for and sometimes more! Great prices great things to upcycle! Nice friendly service and helpful to get things loaded etc! Lots of fun
