It's been a while since I've had some really good f&c, and this was great. Maybe it's the small town setting vs the big city, but the fish was fresh and the chips were a generous portion. Also, the wrapping up of the food was well done - kept it tight and tidy. Some places can be a bit shoddy.nThere was a steady stream of customers, which kept the staff busy - but that's a good sign.
Extremely disappointed with the fish burger. The fish was half the size of the bun, I was basically eating salad and bread. The fish itself was smaller than a 250ml V can!nnFor a town so close to the water, it’s shocking that they can’t provide decent fish. They used to be so good a couple of years back, but not anymore. Definitely not worth the price.nnI won’t be ordering from this place again.
We paid $53 for this, greesy ham and cheese toastie, greesy undercooked chips, garlic butter and fish smelt horrible. The cheese wasnt even melted properly on both portions. Rang to make the order and the lady was rude and dismissive and hung up after order was placed. Also got charged for a extra sauce but didnt ask or recieve it! Disgusting and would not go back. Ended up throwing out garlic chips, fish and toastie uneatible. Waste of money.
Brought some fresh mussels & a fillet of snapper for a home cook up. Super fresh mussels and fish we all enjoyed. They will cook it up for you if you want.
Some of the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. Fresh fish, that you watch being battered and fried. Very generous portions, one meal is enough to feed two, and at a reasonable price to! I’ll be back every day I’m in the area to either try their burgers or chicken sandwiches, or partake in the F&C again!
