Corogate Cafe has now relocated and changed its name . It is now called The Living Museum. and the physical address is 109c Centennial Avenue. Te Aroha. Matamata/Piako District 3320.We now operate from our Villa which houses all the memorabilia plus more, from our original business. You will see the Thompson family ornate cane prams, founded in 1893 by Bill Thompson's grand father. The oldest being from 1910, together with cane wheel chairs from the early 1900's. Amongst the 8000 exhibts of the British Royal family are the latest items covering Her majesty Queen Elizabeths 90th. Birthday, and Her longest Reign souvenirs, some being limited to 50 and 100 world wide. The memorabilia from the 4 major exhibitions held in New Zealand now amounts to over 5000. You will see the personal collection of bossons heads made in Congleton Yorkshire UK, an extensive range of beer steins from Germany Austria Uk etc. and the newest collection of the Te Aroha history in both china/ glass and furniture and reading material. Added to this, there are American cars from 1928 and a new addition of an original 1928 showman's wagon from UK. Viewing is by appointment, but IF on passing the open sign is flying then visitors and tourists are welcome. Various memorabilia is for sale together with hand made garden art.
