We were there on a Saturday afternoon and the place was buzzing. It was pretty close to full house. Coffee was strong and to my liking. Meals are well priced and generous portions. Service was good and foods were served in good time despite the busyness. Great atmosphere, airy and spacious. Toilets were well taken cared of too.Food: 5/5
Have been to high tea twice here now and it is absolutely stand out! Recently booked my birthday high tea here with 4 friends and our babies. Was given a lovely private table out the back of the restaurant with grass for the babies to play on. The food itself was the best high tea I have ever had! just delicious and a perfect balance of savoury and sweet delicious tea and a glass of sparkling rose, couldn't have asked for a better experience, thank you! Highly recommended. Also the staff were very attentive and friendly. We will be back :
Worst lunch I have had in Auckland in a long time. Big hunks of raw onion in the salad. Soggy chips. Pretty sure it was Freyas supermarket bread served cold with our liver parfait. Men's bathroom was quite dirty as well. Sad as this use to be amazing.
Chose the Bistro for a business meeting and it was an excellent choice. Great atmosphere, drinks and the food was presented really well. Our steak was a perfect medium rare. Just right on this cold Auckland day.
One of the best steak we've had here in Auckland. Reasonably priced in relation to the other restaurant prices for steak.Food: 5/5
This was my third time at the bistro for high tea, and it never fails to impress!! Service is outstanding, high tea is probably one of the best in Auckland and I've been to 6+ different venues for high tea, and the location is gorgeous. Today we felt extra doted upon- as a group of four moms wirh young babies we were sat on the back patio all to ourselves with gorgeous green grass for the babies to play on. We stayed well past closing hours though we didn't realize until we were leaving- so sorry! And never once were we rushed. Will be sure to be back many more times! Kid-friendliness: Lots of green space outside to play Parking: Adequate parking Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp up to front door
Fabulous on all levels, traditional High Tea with the most scrumptious scones and jam, fine bone gilded china and large selection of teas - our high tea was heavenly and the lovely French waiter was a delight. My friends and I felt it was extremely good value and high quality everything ! thoroughly recommend coming here. It is a quarter of the price of high tea in fancy downtown hotels plus the added extra of hassle free parking
The Eggs Benedict is absolutely amazing with the rosti! The venue also has an amazing view, well suited for people watching.Food: 5/5
Large portions, fresh & high-quality meals. Fast service & warm–comfortable environment. Large tables and good view. Steak was juicy but crispy & cooked perfectly. Worth your time and you will have a lovely experience.
We are very fortunate to have this great park in a central position. The Bistro is the old 'tea rooms' and has a lovely atmosphere. The staff are attentive and very obliging. We were a large group of 18 and coffee is always slow with that number! We only ordered bakery so difficult to assess the menu.Food: 3/5
