Cornerstone Christian School.

I attended cornerstone from year 9-13. 2019-2023. As far as education goes I think that cornerstone can be quite good allowing for more focused learning. On the other hand lacking a lot of more niche subjects. Additionally some more core subjects weren't taught at a NCEA for a period of time while I was there, most notable was digital technologies which was available in my final year. The teachers were a mix bag, some were quite good, but there were also odd a opinion expressed by a former history teacher, like limited support for greater Israel i.e. Israel annexing a huge amount of land. And conversion therapy with a print out from family first that contained exaggerations and factual error. LGBTQ issues weren't well accounted for. Trangender identity was from what I heard really wasn't accepted.

great school,very kind pricipales and teachers.but only one thing, its a bully paradice !!!

I just had a bad daynthe water fountain water is mid as wellnI am on the y7/8 badminton team and the only reason we won is because my teammate hurt one of the players on the other team on purpose. It wasnt deserved at all.

By the time yr 7 came I remember telling my friends that I wish we went right up to yr 13, so we didnt have to leave, but we only had 6 classrooms at the senior sight at 61 Roberts Line then. We used to do cross country round the paddock of fernlea park across the road which is now countdown, Mihaere Dr didn't exist, it was just more paddock and we planted the trees outside toyota down the road, and uniforms were introuced in 2000/2001 i think.. Still to this day my favourite school and hope 1 day i can send my children there.nnMrs Raeleen Simpson taught Rm 4, and Choir, Hi Mrs Simpson!
