This was by far the most exciting and fun experienced while visiting NZ. We really enjoyed our time, lovely people looking after the farm. The Cornerstone burger was amazing. Lovely Sweet Alpacas and Llamas.
adorable alpacas and llamas you can buy a bag of food to feed them, they love snacking lol and if you’re nice and friendly they’re going to be nice and friendly back! i was scared but once i opened my hand to feed them, they were so happy and cute munching on it, so there was nothing to be scared of. make sure to wash your hands before and after feeding them! staff was friendly and informative. really enjoyed it!
We did the feeding trial outside the paddock. Loved the alpacas and llamas, great to see them up close and personal and is a nice 20 minute experience on route if you are travelling downwards from Auckland. We purchased one feed between two people and it was more than enough IMO. Staff was polite, friendly and knowledgeable.nnUnfortunately the cafe was a let down for us, we ordered a chicken Caesar wrap with fries to share and it took 35 minutes to arrive and when it did the fries were soggy.
It is pretty cool with a short briefing before going into the farm. The guide teaches the difference between alpaca and lamas. Where are they located, and the difference between wild and domesticated. Inside the feeding area, fed different alpacas, and there are mummy alpacas with their new borns. The cafe is quite good and has lots of food options. Bought some nice souvenirs back.
Stopped by here otw from Rotorua to Auckland. Had hot choc and raspberry banana muffin from the cafe. My kids had wood fired pizzas and it was awesome.
