Coopers

Coopers is a sophisticated cooperate event destination and elegant wedding venue in the heart of the Waikato, just 5 minutes for the Hamilton Airport, 20 minutes from Hamilton CBD, 15 minutes from Cambridge and on the door step of the Mystery Creek Events Centre. You will be captivated by the private setting and stunning surroundings of the Mystery Creek vineyard and winery, farmland and the Waikato River.

When you step into Coopers you feel a sense of grandeur with the large foyer and large wooden doors through to the main room. The interior has a contemporary finish which allows for you to add your own personal touch.

For speeches and the party that follows we have all the technology you will need built into the room. Live bands or DJs are welcome.

Get ready for your wedding on site in our private bridal room. With a separate entrance, bathroom, large mirrors, hanging room for your garments and areas to sit and enjoy a glass of wine, you will enjoy the preparation time with your bridal party.

Choose where you would like to have your ceremony from anywhere on the property, including the Coopers deck overlooking the river or on the lawn surrounded by established trees. On visiting us you will see that there are plenty of photo opportunities to remember your special day.

Got married at coopers and held our reception there. Sonya does amazing work along with her staff. Took great care of my wife and I, communicating with us throughout the entire experience leading to a perfect day.
We held our wedding at Coopers last weekend, what a great venue - beautiful views of the Waikato and just a great space for a party. Sonya was very helpful, can’t believe how attentive and organised she was on the day and in the lead up. We didn’t have to worry about anything! I loved the freedom of booking the venue and then working out vendors Sonya has great recommendations but can also do your own thing as well if you just want to hire the space. Definitely recommend!
We attended a winter wedding here. It's a lovely venue and the staff were very nice. A lovely spot and outlook. The venue was nice and warm for the guests with a lovely fireplace. Light and airy.
Work Christmas party Nov 2018. Nice location. Great views across the river and countryside towards Hamilton Airport. Large venue, bit noisy in the main room. Was much better being outside on terrace watching the sun setting and playing giant Connect Four and Jenga. Supposed to also have lawn croquet but didn't see it anywhere. Decor inside average, but probably current fashion and suitable for its purpose. BBQ Dinner OK but nothing special. Meat was nice as well as bbq'd veges, mashed potatoes bland - could have added some onion or garlic or some other flavouring to bring them up a notch. Some people had cold smoked salmon which wasn't too bad, others CV had mini burgers didn't try these. Dessert big disappointment, finger food - macaroons, bite size lemon tartlets, chocolate brownies, and fruit skewers best part. Instant tea and coffee. Left shortly before 930pm soon after live music cranked up inside - too loud to talk to person next to you. Was OK but won't go next year if same venue again - not my cup of tea so to speak. A number of other staff made similar comments at work over the next few days.
Beautiful wedding venue. Really enjoyed our visit here and the view was phenomenal. Sad they closed at midnight. But I think this is standard in NZ!
5 Star Venue, with tasty food from their preferred supplier catering company 3 forks. Great service and professional.
Nice location overlooking the river, open and airy, but limited outside area off the main function room
