Story

Columbus Coffee Smales Farm was opened in December 2007 by Takapuna locals Jayson and Adriana Hayde 20+ year veterans of the restaurant business in the New Zealand. In June 2007 Jayson recently having completed the sale of another business then looking for a new opportunity, stumbled upon the Smales Farm development and as they say the rest is history.
We are passionate about great coffee, food and everything Cafe. We are committed to using local suppliers and supporting our local community. Good food Great Company that's what we are all about.. We support and sponsor many local community groups and organisations as well as our national program with Cure Kids..We are grateful to the community that supports us and in turn we do what we can to support it..
Our Operations Manager, Sarah Punnett runs the day to day cafe operations and with her management team and staff can facilitate almost any request you may have. However it doesn't stop there. We at not just a Cafe, we are a fully Licensed venue, and provide a wide range of catering services to many businesses and private customers alike.
The Cafe being designed with flexibility in mind lends our venue our venue to many other uses. It is the largest and best equipped Columbus site built to date. We have hosted regular corporate events and one off product launches for large national organisations. Our events team can work with you to make sure that your next event is a huge success.
