Coffee is slightly more bitter than usual today. The pumpkin quiche is good but a bit weird one part is super spicy whereas other part of it are not spicy.Food: 4/5
It’s a nice place. Good location. However, the scrambled eggs I ordered was so smooth. I’m doubtful if it’s real fresh egg. The toast that goes with it cannot be seen as it’s covered with the creamy scrambled eggs. The extra salmon is a bite size. Flat white here is a No for me.
We went here on Easter Monday. I was looking for a cafe which didn't add a public holiday surcharge. We looked. No notice of a surcharge on the entry doors, the most logical place to put them. Nothing I could see at the food cabinet. Even when we got to the til, we didn't see one. We got charged one though. It was then I saw it. On top of the food cabinet at the til end, turned sideways so it wouldn't have been seen from the front. Even if it had been on the desktop at the til, facing the clients it would have been visible. This just irked me, as it looks like it was displayed in such a way as to not be obviously visible. The staff were doing a good job though, working hard, smiling & engaging well with the patrons. But my savoury scroll was dry & stale. 15% surcharge for poor food? Sorry, it's a fail.
Absolutely ATROCIOUS. Every time I come here they always fail. I tried to give it one last shot. I got a frappe and it came out iced with no flavour. Horrible. Didn’t want to be a bother and ask for a new one as already left the store. Tried again, got a bagel and it was $15. That’s fine, but overpriced. I also got a coffee that was so hot I had to wait 20 minutes for it to cool down with the WRONG syrup. Seemed like the staff were chatting away and waited 10 minutes before the young lady even decided to make it. To make a 30 year old lady like myself wait for no reason. Disrespectful. I don’t know who your management is but it is just awful. I would give it no star rating if I could. Do not go here, is a waste of time and money. After talking with my husband I will NEVER go back.
Its great to have a place open until 10pm if you feel like a coffee or hot chocolate on a Saturday night. The ladies on service were very welcoming and friendly. The slice was very nice and so were our hot chocolates. I think I paid $8 for my drink though, which is pretty pricey, and the slice for $6.60 is pricey too, but, tbh, I didn't mind, because the atmosphere is great, we got comfy seats, the toliets were clean, the staff were friendly, service was great, and it was so nice just to have somewhere to go later at night here in Rangiora, not many other places are open.
Waitress - great. Smoothies - great. They forgot our food, then when it turned up was incorrect. Fixed it / we got the correct order. BLT bagel - bagel stale, minimal bacon. Brisket bagel - big fat chunk in place of brisket, cold, bagel dry and stale. wont be eating here again.
Here there after seeing the name on Google Maps and liked the description! The actual experience was much much better. We were able to choose a quieter room but still full of colour like the rest. My food choice had avocado in it with peas - absolutely yummy. The wine was ambrosial! Servings are not huge which we appreciated but the flavours and textures were just succulent!
Always good going to coffee culture awesome food good coffee, service is great although they could do with speeding the process up a pinch, can wait up to 20 mins half hour for coffee and food. The lady's are always under the pump but always do a good job.Food: 5/5
Brunch last Sunday turned into a nightmare when part way through eating the vegan Chick'n and Avo Bagel that my daughter and I both ordered, we discovered that they had actually given us both real chicken. I was very careful when ordering, to specify that we wanted the vegan option and to check whether the aioli was also vegan. The person who served us took our order correctly, so the major error occurred in the kitchen. We were both very upset especially my adult daughter. In the 15 years I have been vegan nothing like this has ever happened. Admittedly the manager and supervisor dealt with the situation in an exemplary way - they refunded our entire order without me having to ask and apologised on behalf of the staff member who stuffed up, and said that the issue would not be dealt with lightly, for which we are grateful. It was a pretty major mistake and I suggest that they improve their processes to reduce the chance of chefs making mistakes reading orders, e.g. colour-coding orders or making orders with dietary requirements stand out to the chef, so they are alerted to the fact that this is not a typical order. Perhaps a similar situation might not happen in future.
Smoothies are perfect there, I always go there after my work one of the stuff suggested me the berry smoothie which is so tasty and delicious and since that day I always go there for that smoothie, all the staff were doing a great job, smiling, welcoming all the customers in a nice way, Rebecca or jessica not sure was the best she knows how to deal with different types of people and she knows how to make customers happy and satisfied, great job to all the staff
