loved it! super friendly service and a wide selection on the menu which is cool. the chips were nice and golden and crispy and totally yummy. wifey had a good whitebait patty with a tonne of tasty coast whitebait....which was rather yummy. and they still use old fashioned newspaper to wrap which is a real blast from the past! a strong recommendation
Absolutely agree with their claim that they are the BEST Fish &Chips in NZ. Wow! The fish was beautiful and the chips oh my! Just stunning. You won't be disappointed.
We were told best fish n chips...agree! Elephant fish was a first for me and yummy as chunky chips! Took them to 'The Tip' out at the river entrance and watched Hectors Dolphins come into the river and go out through the swells!Food: 5/5
Popped in yesterday for a fish and chip fix, by far the best We’ve had in a very very long time!! Chips were golden, the fish was cooked perfectly, and I even got an extra mussel the woman serving was the friendliest, most helpful person we had met all day. If you want great fish and chips this place is definitely worth it, we heard about them all the way from Hanmer Springs!! Keep up the good work guys, we’ll be back!!
Google maps brought us here - we're from out of town. Service is fast, the place is teeming with locals and tourists. The chips were of good quality cut, cooked in oil that appears to be fresh, nice crunch on the outside, soft and fluffy inside, with a choice of seasoning. Didn't seem too oily... can't critique the fish but I enjoyed my burger - a nice meat pattie, onions, salad and beetroot - yum!
Get the big sausage!! Nice people, crispy chunky chips, delicious fish. Recommended. Was going to go back and get an icecream too, but no way could we fit a single thing down after That dinner! Food: 5/5

The fish batter was probably some of the best I have experienced in NZ. The portion sizes are perfect and chips were perfectly salted with your choice of chicken or regular salt. 10/10
