Coastlands Shopping Centre is a bit of a mixed bag. Located right in the heart of Paraparaumu, it’s undeniably convenient for Kapiti locals who don't want to make the drive down to Wellington. There are definitely a few good places here...having staples like Farmers, Pak'nSave, and a decent food court makes it a handy one-stop hub for weekend errands. The local cinema is also a nice bonus for entertainment.n​However, once you start browsing the specialty stores and boutique fashion outlets, the appeal quickly wears off. Many of these shops are ridiculously expensive and clearly have too large a markup. It’s hard to justify paying such premium prices for everyday apparel and basic homewares when you know you could find the exact same quality for significantly less elsewhere or online. The centre itself is clean, parking is usually easy enough, and the layout is simple to navigate, but the overall value for money leaves a lot to be desired.nn​It’s fine for grabbing the essentials, visiting the big box retailers, or a quick coffee, but if you're looking for a serious shopping spree, proceed with caution.
A nice, light, airy mall with plenty of parking. Took me a moment to figure out the clock as you enter next to Woolworths, but once I did, I really liked it. Nice to see something different in a mall, since most look the same as any other!
A small town quaint mall. Has a few anchor shops like Countdown and Farmers both have a good selection of stock. The food area is also worth a visit if your hungry and want good value Asian food.
Lots of parking, lots of shopping options. The Mall is on one level. Eateries are centrally located in the centre. Could probably handle another 1 or 2. Good option for visitors, off the Kapiti Expressway and lots of big box retailers within walking distance Same too for other eating options.
Been here couple of times and I really enjoy every visit. The place is clean and there is a wide variety of food choices in their food court. There are toilets that clean and well maintained. There are several shops and a supermarket within the mall.
