A serene and picturesque spot, delightfully uncrowded even on weekends, perhaps a hidden gem cherished by locals. The coastline offers a mostly flat and narrow road which can extend to > 2hrs return, perfect for leisurely strolls, with occasional glimpses of climbers tackling the cliffs.
Nice spot. A lot of campervans in the carpark. So must be a greatvspot to overnight. Public toilets and great walks and scenery.

Cruising around from Lyttelton thru to Governor's Bay and on to Parau beach,beautiful scenic views. Plus jump in the water and get some muscles and Paua's.
