Story

Coast to Coast Helicopters is a Marlborough and Tasman based helicopter company specialising in tourism and agricultural work, including crop spraying, forestry work and frost protection.

Our base in Marlborough operates an MD 520 Notar and the Tasman base has a Bell Jetranger operated now by Coast to Coast Tasman and new owner Patrick Amberger.

Alister and Sarah have had a long association with aviation, both learning to fly in their teens and completing commercial licenses in 1990. Sarah in fixed wing and Alister as a helicopter pilot. Alister has held senior positions in several companies over the years and is experienced flying B3, MD 500, EC 120, and Robinson aircraft. He also holds a Category D and E instructor rating.

Alister and Sarah Twisleton bought this long standing company in 2013 from Andy and Jane Brown who started it up over 20 years ago.More recent has been the transfer of the Motueka side of the business to Patrick Amberger who operates a Bell Jetranger from a base in the Tasman district.

We have two helicopters and can offer all services for agriculture, lifting, scenic flights, fire fighting, lodge transfers, photography.
