Decent inexpensive hotel, close to the centre. Staff are very helpful and very polite. Rooms are very clean and comfortable, although a little dated but still nice enough for a short break. Definitely recommend.Rooms: 4/5
unrelenting noise from staff moving heavy furniture or cages around in a service room backing onto the headboard wall in my room no 511. the wall shook so i started to take videos to show the reception, they were not interested. i first thought it was a normal room next to me and that the guests were having a fight throwing furniture - no this wasn't at 13:00 when people are out of the room it was at at 01:00 when i could not sleep because of the banging, the room i was moved to was not much better next to a corridor door constantly banging. got little sleep and a promise of "looking into it" next morning from the manager who i saw later in the street totally uncaring and blanked me - no call days later despite taking my number & promising to offer some kind of resolution to this. the TV in 511 was INOP, WiFi was hit & miss and the restaurant was closed for breakfasts, overall my experience here spoiled my first visit to Glasgow, this was not a one off can't be helped inconsiderate fellow guest spoiling it, this was the staff running the place that didn't give a sh* you should not have to put up with having to demand to be given another room when you really just wanted to be asleep just because the service staff come cheaper overnight
The Clyde Hotel is situated in the city centre. It is a very nice and cozy hotel. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant is amazing. Our room is always clean. In the rooms there is everything necessary for comfortable staying: an electric kettle, a hair dryer, a TV. The Internet is also good. Thank you for your warm welcome.
Overall a pleasant stay, bed is large and comfy, price is good, location is convenient and central, close to central station, nice bathtub, amenities needed are all there: hair dryer, toiletries, tv, etc., like the nice painting on the wall. Staff a check in was polite and friendly. Things to improve on: -it was a turn-off when a hotel staff come knocking on my door nearing check-out to ask questions, and she wasn't exactly polite or friendly. -wifi password can be included with key card or pasted in the room, had to head down again to get it after check-in.
Don't book here , it's full of refugees , not that theres anything wrong with these people , more like a hostel . No ambiance of a hotel at all . Room was OK, if not a little dated .
Stayed 1 night with my partner. She had booked a double room, so was expecting a double bed, not 2 singles put together with a sheet. During the night the beds moved apart due to them being on castors and i fell between the 2 beds. The result was a damaged elbow and shoulder.
Won't be staying there again. Don't walk on the carpets without shoes on. No overnight parking so nearest multi storey is £25/ nightRooms: 1/5
Terrible. The room was dirty and furnishings old and damaged. Paid for a king sized bed - ended up with two single beds pushed together. Complained to receptionist, but was told management were not available to raise my complaint with. Left my contact details to discuss and was promised a call which never transpired. Dreadful, stay away.
Welcoming friendly staff easy check in tidy room really comfortable bed. Room a little warm but to be expected its summer after all. Not much sleep 2nd night but not hotels fault the pub across the road decided to carry out work from 11pm to 2amRooms: 4/5
DO NOT STAY HERE. I was put on the 7th floor and had to check out at 3am the same night. The room was very weird and staff there confirmed that the floor is weird. Heard arguing and a large bang from above but there were no floors above. I travelled by myself and there were weird stuff happening in my room like someone else was in there. There’s a bad history behind this place. I had to pay almost double for a decent night sleep elsewhere
