Cheap but not cheerful, ok place with a good kitchen. You have to pay extra for the shower and there is no WiFi but it's pleasant enough for an overnight stay.
Excellent location, walking distance to the town centre, although the facilities feel very tired, so overall felt a little pricy considering that. Kitchen has everything you need, but is very basic. Used the laundry and showers whilst there both extra charge. Be prepared for the showers to feel like old football changing rooms!
Not the best campsite we have visited nor the cheapest with the additional cost for the showers. Very dry and dusty with pretty uneven ground for tent pitching but what we noticed most of all was the lack of trees and therefore shade. Amenities are basic and a bit tired. Rosalyn the manager was very friendly and helpful.
Was staying nearby but was going to stay at the camp for a few days to do washing and replenish batteries etc. called in to see if I could fill two 20 litre containers from a tap. Didn’t think it was a big ask. Was told by the manager in a fairly straightforward and rude manner that I should drive to the dump station in Alexandra, miles away. No other discussion was required apparently. I won’t be staying there any time soon.
Great little basic campsite at a great price. VERY clean and tidy, showers were clean, hot & great pressure. Would definitely stay there again if passing through.
