Just South of Auckland on the shores of the Hauraki Gulf is a farm unlike any other in New Zealand. Here the Clevedon Valley Buffalo Company, owned and operated by Richard and Helen Dorresteyn, farm 200 head of buffalo for their porcelain white milk and flavoursome beef. Together they produce award winning fresh buffalo mozzarella, ricotta, yoghurt, buffalo blue, gouda and small goods. A first for NZ, the companies buffalo dairy has won multiple awards and gold medals at New Zealand’s national cheese and artisan awards.
