We visited on a windy day, there is no real shelter from the wind,take your own drinks and food as the dairy is quite a way
It is a beach lauch but is achievable with two wheel drive if you are capable and careful. However be prepared to wet the back of your car. I have launched here myself many times. Plenty of parking is available as well as public toilets. There is a sea wall to help with the tidal flow.
Our visit there was so relaxing. Beautiful scenery and was a lovely fine day
