Seems pretty good. Just a little disappointed that I have been there for 3 weeks and both the massage chairs are broken. Hopefully they are fixed soon
A decent sized gym with lots of different and useful machines which are easy to use. Restrooms are spacious and clean with plenty of room to get changed which I appreciate. Staff are generally friendly. Would be better to have multiple sanitising wipe dispensers rather than having to use spray bottles and paper towels which are cumbersome, sometimes empty and are a barrier so I notice some people don’t use them at all.nnRe-racking weights is a big issue at this gym. I can’t really lift 20kg plates off machines, it’s so frustrating that nearly every machine has weights left on it. People especially the high schoolers will literally leave 80kgs on a machine and walk off. I don’t see staff walking around during peak times so it seems to go unnoticed. There’s no whiteboard/noticeboard like other gyms, reminding people of this sort of stuff so I don’t think it is a priority for City Fitness.nnThey don’t have a safety squat bar which is a pretty basic and cheap bit of equipment and SO valuable for those with disabilities like myself. Unfortunately they are unwilling to commit to getting one despite being told I could use one before I joined it needed up being a PTs and not theirs to lend out.nnThe place is super crowded from about 3:30pm to 8pm. Lots of teenagers who group around and catch up, some are not even working out. Therefore I have started to go out of peak times. If you like to work out during this time, you will definitely be battling for the popular machines/equipment and even the benches.nnI’m kind of stuck as I left Jetts and forfeited my lower membership rate thinking this was a better gym with a safety squat bar. I wouldn’t really recommend this branch, it’s just way too busy. Other City Fitness branches I have visited seem better, have less kids mucking around and have a safety squat bar.
Not the best, but not the worst. Would be better if the kids that use this gym learned gym etiquette, re-racked plates, and wiped down machines after use. Suggest staff enforce this.nnMales changing room/bathroom poorly designed.
Great machine and stuff is friendly.. there is one aggressive guy tossed my water bottle away after i clean the seat.very bad manners.. so not gonna go back to that gym anymore really put me down.
Good machines, staff need to be hard on those little kids that don't pick their rubbish up and put the plates back after use eg bench rack weights I'm for ever removing weights off bar when I could be training in the 45 min I have in the morning before I have to got work, also it's not safe for the older people
