Welcome to The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in New Zealand Inc.

Logistics and Transport are increasingly recogonised as a career choice and as a highly relevant part of successful organisations' performance.

Supply chain management sits alongside globalisation and technology as the international trends that are shaping our global commercial environment and providing career opportunities for those with experience. Consequently, the skills required are in demand.

At the same time providing transport and infrastructure, in most places, is a key political and environmental priorities adding further relevance and opportunity for those with the right skills. In New Zealand, for example, we are seeing the emergence of the international trend for having logistics managers report directly to Chief Executives, as well as a number of practitioners developing their careers within their profession as contractors rather than with an organisation. The outsourcing of supply chain activities and management continues to gain momentum and, with that, the need for transport and logistics professionals to have well managed networks.
