Story

We opened our little magic Osteria in Newtown in August 2014 to give people of Wellington a sample of humble, affordable and deeply authentic Italian food.

By being an “Osteria” we mean that you are not coming to our restaurant, you are coming to our home. We will light candles and fire, pour wine and play music, and as Baudelaire would have said: “We will boil and serve our own heart”.

Fantastic food and service.. Lovely warm setting.
Been dying to try Cicio Cacio for a while now, and can say it did not disappoint! The handmade ravioli was an amazing, 10/10 experience. Loved the selection of Italian wines, the ambiance, and the overall service we received by the lovely manager. If you're looking for authentic, reasonably priced Italian food - this is the place.
Delicious authentc food. Excellent service. Good value for money. The only disappointment was that when we asked for some butter to go on our bread, we were charged an extra $2.
Good food overall, not sure about the presentation on the mains. Some garnish and different plating would make a much better experience
Staff were excellent! Managed to get us into a table early and gave us a little container to take the very generous portion of risotto home with us. Food was delicious.
I've eaten in many countries including Waldorf in NY. I've never enjoyed a meal more anywhere. I'm 87 & no longer eat pastas but there were many amazing alternatives which were absolutely delicious. Go in a group & share a wide variety of food.
