Story

The Centre is run by the NZ Vegetarian Society to provide information, activities and community development for vegetarians and vegans living in or visiting Christchurch.

We are the Christchurch branch of the NZ Vegetarian Society and the Christchurch representative of the Vegan Society of Aotearoa/New Zealand. Lots is happening. So get involved and enjoy the city which still has the most active vegetarian community in New Zealand despite the earthquakes. The city of Christchurch is a must for vegetarians and vegans.

We offer events such as the Vegan Expo, Vegan Camp, regular pot lucks, talks, film nights, information stalls, and youth, student, gay and lesbian, and family activities.

What a great place Christchurch Community House is. I hire a room and I am offered a car park space for next to nothing as well as having iced water brought to the room. Fabulous.

An interesting place to visit
Great community facility
This is the first time I have been here. Prior to that I didn't even know that it was here. It deserves a far better profile. The interior is spacious and modern with excellent facilities on hand. I felt safe and comfortable with the people I met.
We do Sign Language School here. Lovely feel. People help each other. Nice.
Beautiful community space, got good vibes from here. All their coffee cups match too!
