I was a prayer breakfast in the Limes RoomnAt the Christchurch town hall which was catered and not only was the venue stunning but the food was exceptional! How did they get the eggs to be so soft for that many people!nVery well organised and executed by the wait staff serving a hot breakfast to over 250 people within about 10 minutes!nSecurity was great and the venue is stunning with the gorgeous lighting and outlook over the river.nThe only downside is the parking - most is paid although there are a few sneaky free options around the place if you know where to look!
Great to be back in our amazing town hall! So many memories here, from 1973 on. Fantastic venue. Loved “Go Live” tonight - awesome bands, awesome vibe.
The town hall has been restored to a very good look and feel of what it was in its former glory days before the earthquakes. A project of restoration well worth doing. The only bit missing is the walkway across Kilmore Street to the former Convention Centre. Nonetheless great evenings can be had here for all types of functions.
Finally this city got world class venue ! After renovation Town Hall has been rebuilt to a modern, beautiful , functional venue with good facilities and amazing acoustics.nSince reopening we have been to several performances and it never disappoints. Seats are very comfortable and cozy , best quality of all public venues in the city. Enough bathrooms and waiting areas.nThe only improvement I could think of is the get more ushers or replace the QR scanning with something more faster as the old ladies struggle to scan the tickets and it takes forever to enter , creating bottlenecks and long queues to enter
Very impressive building set on a beautiful scene. Walk on red carpets: enjoy art, music and theatre at this one of a kind set. Definitely worth having a strole through if your just in the area.
