The airport is easy to use. Check-in is quick and there are enough signs to find your gate. Security is simple. The waiting area has seats and places to get coffee or snacks. Toilets are clean. It can be a bit busy at times, but everything works fine. Good for flying within New Zealand.

Awesome Airport very easy to find your way around, if you have time to waste before you need to bored your flight, there’s nice bar there to have a drink, good selection of whiskey and beer, good food. The staff all around airport are great.
Arrived here from AKL on new year's eve.nThe wait for baggage was not too long.nnBut finding the door to the catch the rental car shuttle was not easy.nCould be the signages were too obscure that we missed them.nnOn departure from the international terminal the sign for the airline counters were also not visible.nnBut on both occasions there was an information counter to provide assistance.
There's a small clean well maintained basic food court before immigration/security on the landside.nThere's shower facilities in the disabled toilet near bags drop off near Air New Zealand.nBag drop off process was very efficient and quick at the multiple kiosks. Staff were helpful and pleasant.nFast free wifi available.nnNot much food choices after immigration. A bit of shopping. Plenty of places to charge up your phone and devices.
