I had such a lovely time booking my weekend in quail island with Alex, she was very helpful and awesome. Great customer service, so much that you would even like to invite her to join us.
Tourist information is very good. Department of conservation section not informative at all. I've been to many doc offices and every one could give me proper information. Here I just got told I should read threw their website online.
The opening hours on the website don't mention it's not staffed at lunchtimes. Even when there's 4 staff at the iSite part of the building none will help with annual but passes etc at these times
Very friendly and helpful staff. Many other countries around the would should take a cue from this model.
The DOC visitor centre attached to the i-site had a brilliant staff member this afternoon who gave me really useful advice about the area. Thanks!

Not an information centre. There isn't one in Christchurch.
Small place, so there is always a long line. Otherwise: great
