This casino has a fantastic atmosphere. However, as Christchurch isn't a huge city, the selection of table games available during the day might not be very satisfying. Evenings see a decent number of people, but it's not what I would call lively. It's a good place to enjoy the ambiance.
Big casino, lots of options. RouletteX was great to potentially x100, x250, x500 your money. Easy to spend more than 5 hours here. Good parking just behind the casino.
We didn't gamble there, but we were just browsing and taking photos. Christmas interior was good, and the staff was kind.
This review is about the restaurant in the casino, and not the casion itself, which seems good.nI ordered the blue cod fish and chips for lunch. It included a small salad which is the best part of the dish. The salad is fresh and had a nice dressing. The chips were OK, but the fish was a bit disappointing as it didn't taste anywhere as nice as blue cod from other places. The fish was a bit mushy, possibly due to not being fresh. Other dishes looked OK, but need to taste them before making a comment. I also tried the lamb roast on another day, and it wasn't much good. The meat was below average, and the vegetables were overcooked. I have had better lamb elsewhere. Thank you.
We had a terrible experience here last night. If you look like you are having even an ounce of fun, you will be pulled aside and questioned by staff who think they're Police officers. Staff are definitely on some type of power trip. We frequent Casinos all over the country and have never ever had this type of experience before. The wine also tasted like it had been sitting in the bottle for two weeks. We will never ever be back here again.
