Chris Leighton & Tracey Black have proven themselves as a formidable real estate sales team with award winning customer satisfaction results, achieving fantastic successes for many very happy sellers and buyers and a reputation for "getting the job done".

Chris has proven herself as one of the regions’ leading practitioners. Her extensive sales and marketing background spans over 25 years.

Throughout her own personal experience of buying and selling real estate, she acknowledges the importance of enthusiasm, attitude, knowledge, commitment and the skill of a good negotiator. All of which she has an abundance of. Add in a good sense of humour, the ability to listen along with her sincere honesty and you get a good dose of professional integrity that has built a successful real estate career.

Away from work, Chris is a keen sportswoman having represented in both cricket and hockey at provincial and national levels. She now enjoys golf, tennis and squash. Walking her two Miniature Schnauzer dogs (Jake and Louie) and spending time with family and friends occupies any spare time.


Tracey is a true-blue Nelsonian, born and bred. She is well entrenched in the local community having grown up here, being educated here, played sport to a high level and probably her proudest achievement - spending 10 years in the New Zealand Police, serving the community she loves and making a difference in people’s lives.

It’s no surprise then that some of the strengths she brings to the team include honesty and integrity not to mention her vast marketing experience, attention to detail and people skills.

Well known and respected for her support and fundraising of local community organisations, Tracey is passionate about the region and its people.

Collectively Tracey’s organisation skills, marketing experience, local knowledge together with her high work ethic and personality add great strength to the chrisleighton&traceyblack brand.

Away from work, Tracey enjoys participating in or watching most sports and is a keen golfer. Spending time with family and friends and walking her dogs takes up any spare time.
