I'm a big fan of this place. The standard fancy fish sandwich is lovely, the potato cake is fluffy on the inside and crisp on the out. My partner said his choc shake was delicious and scrambled eggs were soft and tasty. And the coffee was divine. On a nice day you can sit outside and admire the waterside view. This place is super kid and dog friendly as well.
Food here was so good we had to come back the next day! The whitebait fritter sandwich and tomato soup is a must try! We also had the black pudding sandwich, coffee and chocolate milkshake which were good as well. Big play area for young children on the side of the cafe.Recommended dishesWhitebait Fritter Sandwich
Warm friendly and patient service. Outstanding paua, bacon and black pudding burger. Banana a date smoothie dairy free, vegan was delicious. Carrot cake nut free beautifully spiced with a zesty orange icing. So good to be back again after 22 years. I won’t leave it so long for my next visit!
OMG! This place is amazing, from the views, to the food and drinks. I was blown away literally… it was so windy I definitely recommend sitting away from the sun but the views of Wellington are incredible. The service was great and the food came out quickly despite how busy it was. I had roast tomatoes on vogel and it was delicious. The coffees were great too. Such a great place to bring kids as they have a playground and toys. Definitely recommend stopping by!
Wishing 10 stars was an option. Came here on a whim today waiting to pick someone up from the airport before I migrate to Auckland and I LOVE it here. Had a whitebait fritter sandwich. Delicious!!! The staff are the friendliest people on earth. I can see they love their job and their manager should be super proud! The decor is wonderful too. Eclectic and thoughtfully kiwi. I might try and stay forever.
The Flash Sammies were really good - got the White Bait and Crayfish. The 3B burger was "one of the best burgers I've had in awhile" - said my friend who came with me. Winner though was the Cheese Scone - buttery, fragrant. Loved it. !!!Food: 4/5
Best meal ever! If I could I would give 10 stars. Every single thing was perfect and delicious. Personal favourites were the fish sandwich and the carrot cake. Sit in the sun and enjoy! Thank you :
Location 4, coffee 3, food 4, value 3. Love that they have toys etc to keep kids happy and the view is nice but i felt the food was not great value for what it was. A large coffee was $9 and is slightly larger. Photo: Breakfast Bagel and Large Mocha = $35.00
A great little place to get a meal away from the busy centre of Wellington. We had breakfast here on the way to Weta Workshop and enjoyed it immensely. The decor - in particular the hand painted seats - was quite charming and homely. We had the fish of the day sandwich and the breakfast bagel - both tasty. Numerous signs apologise for the wait for food due to understaffing, but on a quiet Sunday morning we barely had to wait at all.
Great Mocha, open steak sandwich was just awesomeness.. the chef had the steak to perfection. Staff were wonderful and the owner was soo nice.. Kid-friendliness: Great play ground for kids and an asortment of bikes available Parking: Good parking availability Dietary restrictions: Just mention to the staff your dietary needs, they are soo accomodating.. if they can't provide then they make great suggestions.
