Pleasantly surprised at how good the food was, we had the lamb saag, chicken tikka masala and garlic naan. Also such nice people, they kindly gave us plates and utensils so we could eat at the shop as we were passing through, and they gave us frozen mango desserts to try which my daughter loved. Lucky Matamata to have this place.
Great curry. Don’t be put off by exterior. Sitting here with a mate from Birmingham UK and it’s as good as, if not better than, anything we can get there.
Fish and chips were surprisingly good. Butter chicken not salty enough but the naan was good. You get a huge amount of food for such a low price. I just stumbled upon this place after my visit to Hobbiton.

The food was so yummy just like home cooked; it was freshly made. Their hospitality is also very good. We enjoyed our meal and the whole homely experience at Chips N Curry
