Story

Chipmunks Playland & Cafe is the perfect place to party & play all day. Visit Timaru Chipmunks for unlimited play for your children ages 0 – 11 years.

Unlimited stay & play
Adults and Children Must wear socks
NO outside food and drinks - water bottles are okay
Adults are FREE


Please do not visit any Chipmunks Playland & Cafe if you or your child has experienced vomiting or diarrhoea in the last 48 – 72 hours.

First time taking my little one to chipmunks, he enjoyed it but the amount of dust and grime collected on the tops of slides and around the closed off netted areas was foul, I ordered a $5!!! blueberry muffin from the cafe that was dense and so dry it just tasted like flour. I also didn’t like that she told me to grab the single plate that was just sitting right at the front of the counter where people pay. Just gross.
The food is very basic and overpriced for what it is. For example a basic tray of chips is nearly $10 - at a fish and chip shop it would cost $2.50. The upgrade equipment is already showing massive wear and protective padding is torn and held together with the zip ties. One of the floor pads in the climbing section has been replaced with a trampoline net and held together with zip ties and rope on the second level. The lack of cleaning on the equipment is obvious as massive amounts of dust. One section of the safety net was completely torn and repaired with the zip ties that were broken. The zip tie was hanging down at the end of the tunnel and could have easily gone into a kids eyes.
Absolutely disgusting! Stayed for 5 minutes the playground was not safe at all dirty as the place needs to be shut down !
The best 5th birthday party for "Maddie" warm and lovely food
The new insulation and upgrades to the play area for baby's, toddlers and older children were recently completed and it's now better then ever! Love it.
We visited Chipmunks Timaru for our daughters 3rd birthday party. Took the stress out of hosting at home. Kids loved playing and the party room. Food was fantastic especially the pizzas! And coffee is always great there too. A visit from Charlie the Chipmunk was a highlight for my daughter and the other children. Excellent service - thanks to the lovely staff.

Place is pretty filthy and staff not the most pleasant. Kids love it.
Tho my boys loved it here. It was very dirty and many parts of the play equipment was broken or ripped. Please allow your kids to know as one of mine got hurt. Many items were currently out of order. Often waiting a bit to be served as there wasn't someone at the door.
