Story

In New Zealand, our focus is on creating lasting, sustainable change within dedicated communities in developing countries such as Kenya, Zambia, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Timor-Leste and the Pacific. We’re not about short-term relief or hand-outs: rather, we work hand-in-hand with our dedicated communities, developing local, long-term projects that strengthen families and communities, improve education, nutrition, housing and livelihoods, and protect children’s rights.

Mission

ChildFund exists for the good of children. We operate in just a few developing countries, working alongside communities to create deeper, lasting change for the children and families who need it most. With the support of New Zealanders like you, we change children’s lives, for good.

A lot has changed since 1938, but our focus remains the same: We help children and youth thrive.We work closely with our supporters, local partners, families and the community to create better lives for children. We create a well-planned roadmap for change in our dedicated communities, so that everyone knows the plan and helps to make it happen.
